Nuclear Panic

This game was developed in the context of the Game Development Project course at University of Gothenburg with the goal to develop an educational game.

In Nuclear Panic the player takes control of a worker at a nuclear power plant. As a nuclear meltdown occurs, the worker tries to escape and avoid a lethal dose of radiation.

In this endless runner the player has to switch between two vision modes, regular eyesight to see platforms and pits, and radiation detection goggles to detect sources of harmful radiation. With this information the player tries to avoid obstacles and hazards to survive as long as possible.

The project was displayed at the Interactions Design and Game Design Exhibition (IDXPO) 2019 at Universeum in Gothenburg.

Contribution

My main task was the design and animation of the player avatar. Further, I also helped out with the level design and gameplay programming in C#.
